The Niwaki is the epitome of modern Japanese food and is the ultimate Japanese destination in Monte-Carlo. The love of Japanese food that Samy SASS has inspired the establishment. His fascination with Japanese gardens and in particular the niwaki pruning craft began as a result of his exploration of Nippon culture during his numerous trips to the land of the rising sun.
It was only logical that this passion would result in the opening of THE NIWAKI, a chic and opulent restaurant tucked away in the centre of Larvotto, along with his two partners Dean Carr and Daryl Foster.
Warmly coloured and subtly styled, THE NIWAKI is expertly designed around a shiji ceiling and mirror combination that creates the illusion of eternity. The restaurant, along with its terrace, accommodates about 140 people over two floors. In addition to the primary dining room, the area has a magnificent Bar Lounge with a floor-to-ceiling wooden wall and an alluring wooden Sushi Bar. Their balcony, which overlooks elegant Princesse Grace Avenue, is a call to slow down and enjoy the moment.

The Monaco Grand Prix 2023
Max Verstappen prevailed admirably in a mostly one-sided F1 Monaco Grand Prix despite the weather and Fernando Alonso's looming threat.
Verstappen, who narrowly edged Alonso for the pole position by 0.084 seconds, maintained his composure in the slick conditions to lead Sunday's 78-lap race and earn his fourth victory of the year.
