Held in May of each year, Monaco remains the most exciting spectacle on the F1 calendar. With the narrow streets of the Principality being closed off to the public and traffic to become the most iconic race track in the world. For a long weekend, the F1 circus brings a remarkable amount of people to the area. Held around the same time as the Cannes Film Festival many of the movie celebrities are to be found enjoying the sights and sounds of the F1 weekend during this spectacular sporting occasion.
The race is organised by the prestigious Automobile Club de Monaco who ran the first Monaco Grand Prix in 1929, since 1955 (the modern era) Monaco has been on the F1 calendar for every championship contested. All of the drivers cite this Grand Prix as the one they most want to win as it is considered the ultimate driving challenge, the 2014 Monaco Grand Prix is scheduled to take place on Sunday the 25th of May 2014.
The circuit winds its way through the streets of Monaco and covers some 3.340KM (2.13 miles) with many elevation changes. The circuit passes many famous buildings around the streets of Monaco and makes use of the famous tunnel, upon exiting the tunnel the track then winds around the Monaco harbour, for one weekend of the year those who have berths are politely asked to leave to a make way for the drivers, sponsors and team-owner yachts and the harbour is always full of the most amazing super-yachts.
The current lap record is held by Michael Schumacher who managed to lap the track in 1:14.439 in 2004 (race conditions), this looks likely to remain the lap record as the new tyres don’t offer as much grip, 2012 fastest lap being a 1:17.296, however, pole position was a faster time of 1:14.301.
Past winners over the past 10 years (since GPA have been enjoying Monaco Grand Prix trips):

Uniquely in Monaco the F1 practice sessions take place on a Thursday which is traditionally because the event was held over the Ascension day weekend in France and the Monegasque people wanted peace-and-quiet on the Friday which was/is a public holiday, whilst the race isn’t always now over this particular holiday, F1 and the Monaco Royal Family have maintained the tradition.
Grand Prix Adventures have been offering packages to this event since 2004, in actual fact the company idea began during a trip there in 2003! We have access to balconies, hotels, yachts, parties and just about anything and everything you could possibly want to experience during this event, since 2003 many ‘experts’ have come along (and many of them no longer exist!) but one thing you can be sure of with Grand Prix Adventures is that we are offering you, the customer, the best possible experience at this amazing sporting occasion.

Silverstone was opened as a World War Two airfield in 1943, near the leafy village of the same name. Once the war had ended in 1945 Britain was left with a number of redundant airfields but without a major race track Donington Park was still a military vehicle storage depot, Brooklands had been sold off, Crystal Palace was in a state of disrepair and Brands Hatch was still under-developed.
The Royal Automobile Club was interested in Silverstone as a potential site and approached the Air Ministry in 1948 and a lease was arranged. At this time the centre of Silverstone Circuit was a farm producing cereal crops and also a piggery so the RAC employed farmer James Wilson Brown to create the first Grand Prix circuit at the site and gave him just two months to build it.
On October 2nd, 1948, amid straw bales and ropes, Silverstone's first event took place, the RAC Grand Prix. The crowds came in their thousands, thrilled to see the return of Grand Prix racing after so many years of war austerity.

Since it’s inaugural race in 2008, The Singtel Singapore Grand Prix has fast become a fan favourite as it has one unique feature: Singapore GP is the only race on the calendar which is held at night. Held under the floodlight Marina Bay track, some 1500 floodlights light up the circuit. This race, like Monaco, is held through the streets of Singapore which sees this amazing city close down many of the streets to allow the F1 track to be completed.
Whilst there was a Singapore Grand Prix in the 1960’s early 1970’s (held at Thomson Grand Prix Circuit), only since 2008 have we seen what has now become one of the most spectacular races on the calendar. A real challenge for the drivers being 5.073KM (3.267 miles) and featuring 23 corners, held in 30 degree heat and upwards of 70% humidity, whilst the spectators are treated to a wonderful spectacle, the drivers will lose some 3KG in weight during the hot and humid event. The cars pass many famous Singapore landmarks including the Parliament building, Fullerton Hotel, they cross the Anderson Bridge, pass the amazing Theatre’s on the bay, The Singapore Flyer and finish on the main straight which has been man-made on reclaimed land.
The current lap record is held by Kimi Raikkonen at 1:45.599 from the opening event in 2008, last years pole time was set by Lewis Hamilton in the McLaren on a 1:46.362.

Brand New to the F1 circus in 2012, the Austin Grand Prix made headlines for the amazing track design (by Herman Tilke) which emulated many of the best corners from various circuits around the world. With a 20 storey climb from the start line to turn one, the elevation changes and layout set this circuit apart from many others, particularly the newer tracks.
Held in November towards the end of the season in Texas, the Circuit of the Americas attracted a capacity crowd for its inaugural race.
Covering some 5.515KM (3.427 miles), this is the 1st Formula One circuit to be purpose-built in the USA, with 20 corners and some of the biggest elevation changes, the track has taken some cues from Silverstone, Istanbul, Interlagos and Hockenheim. It is one of only a handful of circuits which is ran anti-clockwise.
Sebastian Vettel currently holds the lap record at 1:39.347 with pole position going to Vettel who lapped the track in 1:35.657. Lewis Hamilton would go on to win the race and thus far is the only winner!
• 2012: Lewis Hamilton
